Antennas

Harsh / Synergetics International manufactures Environmental Data Collection Antennas, (DCPA's). 23 years of experience in manufacturing and implementing high quality, real-time data collection systems has made Harsh/Synergetics a worldwide leader in the environmental monitoring industry. The products manufactured by Harsh/Synergetics International are a series of antennas that can be flexibly configured for dozens of monitoring and control applications.

OUR BUSINESS

Harsh/Synergetics manufactures antennas for real-time data collection, telemetry, control, and forecasting applications, which include water resources management, wastewater, meteorological forecasting, geomagnetic monitoring, and flood warning. Harsh/Synergetics' manufactured antennas are designed with high quality, low tolerance components, and tested to operate at extreme temperatures under extreme conditions. The reliability of Harsh/Synergetics antennas cannot be surpassed.

The Synergetics Model 18B is a high-gain, lightweight antenna designed to provide optimum performance for all fixed-location, timed Satellite Data Collection Platforms (DCP's). It is also well-suited for other 400 MHz applications. The basic 18B design consists of two quadrature-phased, five-element Yagi antennae, orthogonally mounted on a common aluminum boom. The driven elements are fed via a unique micro-strip matching circuit. The combination of a precision aluminum structure driven by a photo-reproduced matching circuit results in exceptionally uniform electrical and mechanical performance. The antenna is supplied with screw-in elements for ease of shipping, storage, and field installation.
The Synergetics Model 15A is a hemispherically omnidirectional antenna optimized for maximum gain at low elevation angles. The 15A is a lightweight, resonant, full-wave Quadrifilar Helix antenna phased for right-hand circular polarization. The pattern is optimally shaped to give maximum gain just above the horizon (where path losses are minimal). The model 15A antenna provides improved performance over the half-wave Quadrafilar Helix (14A) for all low-orbiting satellite applications. The 15A will also provide optimum performance for satellite platforms located at higher latitudes. For platforms with look angles above 45 degrees elevation, the model 14A antenna should be used. The 15A…
The Model 14A is a hemispherical omni-directional antenna for use with mobile satellite platforms, ARGOS platforms, NOAA A-H platforms, Radiosonde receivers, and Transit Navigation receivers. The 14A is a lightweight, resonant, half-wave Quadrifilar Helix antenna phased for right-hand circular polarization. Coverage is approximately hemispheric with a maximum gain of 3 dBic at zenith. The Synergetics MICRO-FEED is used for matching, resulting in superior axial ratio, SWR, and bandwidth. The sealed radome for the 14A is constructed of G-10 fiberglass with a white two-part polyurethane paint finish for long life under hostile atmospheric conditions.
