Harsh Donates 375 SD Feed Mixer to CSU

Harsh International is honored to support education and climate research activities at CSU. In April 2025, Harsh donated a 375 Super Duty stationary feed mixer to AgNext at Colorado State University's Climate-Smart Research Facility. The mixer supports precision feeding research aimed at advancing sustainable livestock nutrition and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in cattle production.

The equipment enables researchers to accurately evaluate feed additives and their impacts on animal performance, emissions, and economic outcomes—critical work for the future of sustainable agriculture.

This donation continues a partnership between Harsh and CSU dating back to the 1960s, when Harsh developed prototype equipment for Dr. John Matsushima's steam flaked corn research—a technology now used worldwide.

About the donation: The mixer joins other advanced equipment at the facility, including GreenFeed and SmartFeed machines that measure animal emissions and feed intake. The Climate-Smart Research Facility represents a collaboration between CSU and industry partners including Five Rivers Cattle Feeding, C-Lock Inc., Midwest PMS, Farm Credit Services, Rabo Agrifinance, and Harsh International.
